MMMMM, meatballs…

cloudy

Another children’s book being adapted into a feature length film! In 3D too! The 1978 classic Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, written by Judi Barrett and illustrated by Ron Barrett, will be released on September 18, 2009 by Sony Pictures Animation. Now I don’t have the same connection to this book as the one from the previous post, but not because I don’t think the premise is amazing (what can I say? I love food), I just don’t think we ever owned it for me to read a thousand times. Some voices in the film are Bill Hader, Anna Faris, Tracy Jordan, and Andy Sandberg, which will be awesome

“And now,” cried Max, “let the wild rumpus start!”

Maurice Sendak’s classic book, Where the Wild Things Are, is coming to the big screen and if I already wasn’t excited enough, the trailer made me even more so. The song in it is by Arcade Fire and I think it fits perfectly. Also, in my opinion, I think they did a wonderful job of making all the characters in the book come to life in exactly how I would have wanted them to. I can’t wait! Except I have to because it doesn’t come out until October 2009!
